Students need climate, sustainability and green career curricula.

K12 Climate Action at the Aspen Institute is a coalition with the mission to unlock the power of the education sector to be a force toward climate action, solutions, and environmental justice to help prepare children and youth to advance a more sustainable, resilient, and equitable society.

K12 Climate Action formed a commission which has developed a K12 Climate Action Plan.   The plan outlines the needs and opportunities for the education sector to take action on climate change and advance solutions.  The video explains the motivation of the coalition for developing the plan. The action plan describes the needs to: mitigate, adapt,  educate, and advance equity in developing solutions to climate change.

The Children’s Environmental Literacy Foundation works with member schools to establish sustainability as an integral part of every child’s  K-12 learning experience.
